The gameplay in Miami Mayhem takes place across a 5x4 play grid, where symbols can land in paylines. Before spinning the reels, players can decide on their chosen bet stake, which can be changed with the bet stake selector. Paylines operate from left to right, and there are possibilities for bonus mechanics to be triggered.

There are a handful of bonus mechanics in use throughout Miami Mayhem, which are all fairly unique. From The Hit bonuses to We Split, each of these influences the gameplay in fascinating ways.

Expanding Crew Reels – When a Crew symbol lands, it will expand into a Crew Reel if the expanded symbol is part of at least one matched combination. There is an expanded reel for each of the five Crew Members, and they can act as wild multiplier symbols. This means that the Crew Member symbols can step in for base game symbols to make or increase a combination if possible.

Missions – A Mission sequence is triggered when a Wanted symbol lands on the grid, and it will activate the Wanted Level Bar and 3 respins. One higher-value symbol is selected as the Target. Completing the Mission requires landing a winning combination that includes the Target symbol within 3 respins. This triggers a new Mission and the Wanted Level Bar increases by 1+ up to a maximum of 5, increasing the multiplier on the expanded Crew Reels.

The Hit – Landing 3 FS Scatter symbols across the reels awards 10 free spins. During this bonus game, the Wanted levels will be progressive, and 1 Mission will be triggered at the start.

We Split – This bonus is activated by landing 4 FS Scatter symbols, and this features the same mechanics as The Hit bonus while adding a Mayhem bar. Crew Reels can receive higher multipliers from the Mayhem Bar, which is triggered by landing Crew Reels.

Get Lit! – Finally, by landing 5 FS Scatters, the Get Lit! bonus will trigger, and this feature has the same mechanics as The Hit bonus, but at least 1 Crew symbol is guaranteed to land on every spin.
